PROMENADE CONCERT Programmes
The London Promenade Concerts are perhaps the most famous music festival in the world. They
began in 1895, and have continued without interruption up to the present day. Founded by
Sir Henry J.Wood (who conducted them for 50 years!), most of the great conductors
and orchestras of the world have appeared at the Proms.
